The Demand Generation Manager is responsible for the strategy and implementation of marketing activities that drive long-term engagement with Hilti including Account Based Marketing as well as Email / Engagement Marketing.

A part of the Hilti North America Brand & Digital team, the Demand Generation Marketing Manager will use their skills and strategic knowledge to help Hilti grow its brand and customer experience programs in North America. This manager will lead an internal team for email marketing, manage and external agency for ABM (strong collaboration with Sales) and collaborate with global team members on engagement marketing.

As the leader of the Account Based Marketing program, the manager will develop campaigns targeting key accounts groups (developed in collaboration with Sales and Marketing). This manager approaches ABM strategy with a data-driven approach, continually testing and evaluating success of campaigns and collaborating closely across marketing, sales, and leadership teams for a fully integrated approach.

The Demand Generation Marketing Manager must be a strategic thinker and modern marketer: data-driven, inquisitive, and experienced at using multichannel marketing to drive customer demand programs. The ideal
candidate will have solid experience with 1:1, 1:few, and 1:many account programs using tactics that include email, online communities, live events, webinars, and digital advertising. In addition, be familiar with channels
marketing testing techniques and retargeting to provide ROI improvement recommendations.

This role will lead a team in creating email campaigns, drip campaigns, lead nurturing initiatives. They will be responsible for advising A/B testing, tracking performance, and gaining insights based on key metrics.

  • Develop account-based marketing (ABM) programs designed and executed 1:1, 1: few, and broad-based marketing initiatives to meet pipeline requirements of varied account segments.
  • Working with the Sales, Trade and Brand teams to develop content targeted to a business audience and mapped to the buyer’s journey
  • Plan and execute innovative, multi-channel, end-to-end demand, and lead generation programs to drive
  • MQLs and sales pipeline, while closely monitoring conversion rates and optimizing campaigns at each stage
  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our marketing automation system (i.e., SFDC) to better nurture leads, increase conversion rates to marketing qualified leads and improve the integrity of the overall database
  • Lead ongoing account check-ins with sales team to ensure account goals, key contacts and account plans remain on track, and discuss upcoming account requirements and modifications
  • Lead the team in developing an overall top account marketing strategy, including the project planning for strategic account sales campaigns, including sales readiness, targeting and list acquisition, email/digital marketing strategy, events, tracking and measurement.
  • Manage overall programs budget and work with cross-functional digital marketing and events team members to execute campaigns.
  • Conceptualize, build, execute, deploy, and manage a range of automated marketing campaigns 
  • Oversee and lead the activities of assigned specialists in lead management and direct marketing support activities
  • Collaborate with Analytics team on all reporting on all campaigns, reviewing for improvements and making updates.
  • Build system processes around multi-channel demand generation activities, leveraging target account data, marketing automation and CRM tools, including: email, webinar, event, paid media programs, outbound outreach, and nurture
  • Develop communication and training to ensure those utilizing the created campaigns understand the executed programs and the Marketing Automation environment Additional duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications-related field, required
  • Five (5) years marketing system experience, with knowledge on B2B demand generation and marketing technology, required
  • Three (3) years experience using Marketing Automation platforms (such as Marketo, SalesForce, Adobe, Eloqua), required 
  • Demonstrated experience in email marketing and campaign
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with an ability to analyze marketing campaigns for opportunities
  • Relevant industry experience, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce or another similar CRM platform; experience in PowerBI and other reporting tool preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously and able to communicate and keep key stakeholders informed and up to date as needed.
  • Google Analytics experience, preferred
